Supporting Men’s Health in the Workplace

The statistics are out:

·       1 in 5 men die before 65 from preventable illness

·       Only 20% of men seek therapy for mental health struggles

Many people are afraid to share their health struggles because they worry about being judged, or that it may affect their job in some way.  So, what can be done to make a real difference?

  • Raise awareness of men’s health challenges

  • Reduce stigma around mental health conversations

  • Foster a supportive work culture

  • Introduce a private and confidential employee assistance programme

  • Make sure managers are trained to deal and support people with health conditions

  • Get involved in Men’s Health Week 9 – 15 June 2025
